A.    Observation

Observation which I conduct to hit the characteristics of the language of children is perception to my child. Her name is Iffa Parawisah Ibda. She was called by “Ica”. At age 2 year to 2.5 year Ica have a lot of obtaining and producing various phoneme which can differentiate the meaning of words that she said.  At age 2,3 year, the phonology ability of Ica only at vowel sound  like /r/, / p/, at word /mamma/ and /bapa/. These words were always said by Ica. These Words were said in some situation for example when she will eat, sleep and when she cry which is all  utterance was spontaneously said. Other dissimilar Vowel sound like /u/ and /l/ or sound of “lot” and /e/ sometime spontaneously, for example sound /ue/ what its meaning /kue/ = cake or /men/ in word /permen/ = candy. That way also sound /u/ at word /uyung/ its meaning is /Burung/ = bird, lot sound at word /odok/ = frog. Beside sounds above, at its growth, Ica often releases the other sound as additional production and acquirement from sound of previous words. Produce these sounds in following words: /r/: its onyet meaning is /monyet/ = monkey; /a/: its ambu meaning is /jambu/ = fruit; /i/: its isang meaning is /pisang/ = banana. its eyuk meaning is /jeruk/ = orange.

I.           Introduction

            Today many people are attempting to master more than one language. It is undeniable that acquiring two or more languages may gain some benefits. Being a bilingualist or multilingualist would imply social and economical advantages. They would be commonly regarded as a group of people that has higher social status since the acquisition of other language requires a tremendous effort. A part from that, this skill may bring on an income or extra income if the possessors apply it in particular occupations such as interpreters, translators, or language teachers. Moreover, in this article I would like to argue that second language acquisition also implies the acquisition of the second world view. Then I will try to reveal how it happens. Furthermore, some suggestions on pedagogical methods to assist in the process of second language acquisition are presented.

STUDYING MEANING

1.1  Pragmatics distinguished from semantics

1.1.1 Utterances and sentences

In our immediate experience as language users, the things that have meaning are utterances, and (1.2) presents three examples.

(1.2) a. “Not so loud.” (Something I said to a student who was speaking rather loudly, in Room 420, in the afternoon on 6 May 2005.)

          b. “In H101.” (I recall hearing a student say this, about seven years ago.)

          c. “People who buy these tickets often don’t have loads of money.” (According to a BBC website report,2 the policy manager of the Rail Passengers Council said this towards the end of 2004.)

Utterances are the raw data of linguistics. Each utterance is unique, having been produced by a particular sender in a specific situation.

The abstract linguistic object on which an utterance is based is a sentence. My recollection is that the utterance “In H101” mentioned in (1.2b) was based on the sentence The class will be in Room H101, because it was said in response to me asking “Where’s the class going to be?” We talk of repetition when two or more utterances are based on the same sentence.

A. Latar Belakang

Posisi ilmu tentang bahasa (linguistik) sangat erat kaitannya dengan kegiatan pengajaran bahasa. Hal ini ditegaskan oleh Soenardji (1989: 95) yang menyatakan “Kedudukan linguistik dalam lingkup kegiatan pendidikan (dan dengan sendirinya tercakup pula kegiatan pengajaran) sudah bersifat aksiomatik”. Aksiomatik berarti pernyataan yang dapat diterima sebagai kebenaran tanpa pembuktian (Depdikbud, 1990: 16). Corder (1974) dalam Pateda (1991: 24) menyatakan “Pengajaran linguistik adalah pemanfaatan pengetahuan tentang alamiah bahasa yang dihasilkan oleh peneliti bahasa yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilgunaan tugas-tugas praktis yang menggunakan bahasa sebagai komponen inti”. Dalam batasan tersebut terlihat adanya keterkaitan antara pengajaran linguistik dengan pengetahuan linguistik. Pengetahuan linguistik digunakan untuk kepentingan praktis, tetapi bidang yang tetap berkaitan dengan bahasa.

PENDAHULUAN

A.    LATAR BELAKANG MASALAH

Tulisaan ini bagi semua wanita dan lelaki yang mengaku beragama Islam tanpa terkecuali dan referensi bagi para ayah untuk anaknya, para suami untuk istrinya,para lelaki yang mempunyai adik atau kakak perempuannya.

Akhir-akhir ini banyak sekali kita jumpai Kaum muslimah, baik remaja maupun dewasa mengenakan pakaian muslimah dengan berbagai warna,corak,dan model. Jika kita cermati, tidak semua kaum Muslim memiliki pandangan yang jelas tentang pakaian Muslimah. Faktanya, banyak wanita yang mengenakan kerudung hanya menutupi rambut saja, sedangkan leher dan sebagian lengan masih tampak. Ada juga yang berkerudung tetapi tetap memakai busana yang ketat,misalnya, sehingga lekuk tubuhnya tampak.

Yang lebih menyedihkan adalah ada sebagian kalangan yang masih ragu terhadap pensyariatan Islam tentang pakaian Muslimah ini. Di samping itu, masih banyak juga yang memahami secara rancu kerudung dan jilbab. Tidak sedikit yang menganggap bahwa jilbab adalah kerudung dan sebaliknya. Padahal,jilbab dan kerudung adalah dua perkara yang berbeda.

Pakaian atau al-libas kita perlukan sebagai penutup aurat,untuk menutupi batas-batas aurat yg telah ditetapkan oleh Allah seperti yang telah dijelaskan pada ayat dan hadist-hadist Nabi. Hal ini kita perlukan karena menutup aurat merupakan kewajiban bagi umat muslim.

1.11     Dasar filosofis  Ilmu semantik

Walaupun ahli filsafat sudah berspekulasi sekitar bahasa, hingga akhir abad ke sembilan belas bahwa filosofi bahasa muncul sebagai diri yang sadar  dan area studi sistematis. Empat terbitan oleh Gottlob Frege menandai kemunculan ini. Dua diantaranya Begrifsschrit (Concept-Script) (1879) dan Grundgesetze der Arithmetik ( Hukum dasar  Perhitungan) (1893/1903)—terpusat pada logika dan dasar matematika. tujuannya adalah (i) untuk memperkenalkan susunan bahasa dan bukti yg cukup dari prosedur  matematika, dan (ii) untuk memperoleh perhitungan dari aksioma tentang, dan definisi yang cocok di system ini—dan dengan demikian untuk menyediakan dasar yang logis untuk semua matematika

Dua keunggulan berikutnya , “Fungsi dan Konsep” ( 1891) dan “ Pengertian dan referensi” (1892a), kontribusi yang dibuat untuk kedua-duanya. Yang terdahulu, Frege menggunakan kunci gagasan suatu fungsi untuk mengembangkan ilmu semantik bahasa logis.
